Cadillac has accidently revealed on its Facebook page the upcoming 2014 CTS.

While conducting some cold weather testing with the ELR, Cadillac decided to post several photos on Facebook. Nothing wrong about that but in one of the pictures there is a silver rear end of a Cadillac in the background.

This is obviously the new CTS due later this year. Cadillac realized they made a mistake and took down the photo, but the guys over at Jalopnik were quick enough to save the photo and upload it on their website.

The 2014 Cadillac CTS will probably ride on an extended version of the Alfa platform used for the ATS and should provide more room inside the cabin. Engine lineup is unknown for the moment, but it could include a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter with 200 hp (149 kW), a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo with 270 hp (201 kW) and a bigger V6 3.6-liter producing 320 hp (239 kW).

For the European market there will also be a diesel engine but details are not available right now. The range-topping CTS-V should make use of a supercharged V8 6.2-liter delivering 556+ hp (415+ kW).

With the ELR in the picture I wouldn't care for the CTS even if it was shown clear from all angles.
