Chevrolet details Corvette Stingray interior [video]

Using premium materials

Chevrolet has launched a new video with the 2014 Corvette, this time explaining the work put into the interior.

About a week ago Chevrolet revealed an ad with the C7 and now they are back showing how the cabin was born. To come up with a "truly all-new Corvette" they say premium materials had to be used and the focus was exclusively on the driver.

Chevrolet mentions everything inside is customizable, intuitive and easily visible. The entire layout of the interior was designed to connect the driver to the car in order to provide a great driving experience without making any sort of compromises.

Chevrolet confirmed yesterday the convertible version of the Stingray will make its debut next month at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Looks fantastic. Jaguars new F-type, coming out later, has some similarities to the design. http://newautocarz.com/2012/06/2013-jagu...

One concern. How will you be able to hoon it around if it has an electronic parking break? No hand break to pull so that the car whips around.

Did they even think about the usability by the passengers?? This interior reminds me a little of the Kia Optima with the nav and controls all faced towards the driver and very annoying for the passenger to operate. Did GM forget that sometimes the passenger controls the climate, nav and entertainment?
