2014 SsangYong Korando Turismo aka new Rodius officially revealed [video]

Available in three trim levels

SsangYong has officially revealed the 2014 Rodius which in select markets will be sold as the Korando Turismo or Stavic.

The MPV will be available with a nine-, ten- or eleven-seat configuration and can offer up to 3,240 liters of cargo volume. It will be sold in three trim levels: Luxury Touring (LT), Grand Touring (GT) and Royal Touring (RT). Depending on the version, the new Rodius comes with navigation system, a touchscreen display and a multimedia system.

The second-gen Rodius will be sold with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine connected to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed Mercedes-Benz-sourced automatic transmission. In its home market and in Russia, the new model will be available also with a 6-cylinder, 3.2-liter gasoline engine.

More details will be available after the car gets its European launch.

Considering what they started with (one of the top 10 ugliest cars in the world) Ssangyong have done an honorable job. This is no worse than other vehicles in it's segment and the practicality of the car is superb. Remember, this along with the Rexton W and Actyon Sport are only refresh models - large parts of the original car survives on all of these models. Personally, I think all Ssangyong needs to do (along with all of their SUV's) is give it more ground clearance and you would be looking at a product that would walk all over the long defunct Delica 4wd Vans from Mitsubishi in it's 4wd form
