Mercedes-Benz CLA 180 with AMG Package spotted in Barcelona [video]

1.6-liter with 122 HP

A Mercedes-Benz CLA equipped with the AMG package was filmed on the streets of Barcelona.

The car in question was the CLA 180 model powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 122 HP (90 kW) and 147 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque. Connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the entry-level sedan can do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 9.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h).

Riding on black alloy wheels, the CLA was fitted with the optional AMG kit bringing a more aggressive look to the A-Class-based sedan.

The CLA has already entered production at the firm's Kecskemét plant in Hungary and is scheduled to go on sale in Europe this April, while United States will get it from September.

I think its cute in a baby Benz way. The body is aggressive yet easy on the eyes. I just dont understand why we here in North America have to wait till the Super Bowl half time show to see this car, yet its already on the roads in Barcelona. Like really? Im expecting to see dirt roads, chickens, and goats roaming about while somebody is getting head butt by an angry bull. Is Barcelona some rich and exclusive country all of a sudden? Anyway this cars performance sucks big time. You would get smoked by any granny driving a Toyota Prius which has more power and gets probably double the fuel economy. Yeah but its a Benz lol.

Hate to say it, I have 2 AMG's and this one is a piece of crap. It is not an AMG motor to be clear, just a body kit. Looks okay, but it's kind of Hyundai like. Sorry, I love AMG and nice Benzo's, but this one is a bit of a sissy car.

0-100 9.3 seconds wow that's pretty bad, not talking ironically. Understand its a low cost stylish car but anyway..

I just can't seem to love these black rims on this car. From the side shot makes it look like a souped up Japanese spec Honda. I like the rims on the diesel model that I saw on YouTube and in MB press kits better...

It looks great... except for those wheels... they look tiny (15"?)

Tiny? Those are low profile wheels with 17 or 18 inches rims

The problem is the body design that makes 17" or 18" rims look smaller... If you mount the same wheels for example in a E36 BMW, 18" looks so big

totally agree with Joao. modern design makes cars so big and bubbly that they need huge wheels to look proportional. and then comfort goes south and customers have to pay crazy money when changing tires.

I am not a fan of AMGs new black wheels. They look like aftermarket tack-ons. Graphite is so much nicer in my view.
