2014 Chrysler 200 to feature a new design language

Chrysler's Senior Vice President of Product Design has revealed some new details about the next-generation 200 which is due in 2014.

Speaking to Wards Auto, Ralph Gilles said the 200 will have a new styling language with a "very different feeling [and] look." The executive was coy on details, but hinted the car will be a "beautiful and relevant vehicle."

While the Chrysler 200 will get a revamp, the Dodge Avenger won't be as lucky as it is scheduled to be phased out at the end of the year. Despite this, it's not all bad news for Dodge as Gilles teased “The Challenger is the oldest interior of the whole group, the electronics are the oldest in the group. There’s a lot of potential – I’ll leave it at that.”

I had one for about a month and it wasn't a very comfortable car. The Italians made a lot of improvements to it, but it falls short. I'm hoping they can get rid of the lump in the floor pan and the fat door cards that take away a lot of interior space.

Well that's good to hear, I found 200 extremely boring and dull. It has those looks that makes it forgettable. Hopefully the next gen model will receive some proper treatment.
