722 HP and 656 lb-ft

The Mercedes-Benz SLR has received a complete foil wrap from CUT48 and a power boost from Edo Competition.

Specialized in providing foil wraps, CUT48 says this blue and black gloss wrapping for the SLR is available for a steep 4,350 EUR (approximately 5,800 USD), but for a person who owns such a car money is no object.

Aside from the new look, the hand-built AMG V8 engine has received a power increase from the standard 626 HP (460 kW) to 722 HP (531 kW) courtesy of Edo Competition. The torque figure has also jumped from 580 lb-ft (780 Nm) to 656 lb-ft (890 Nm). This was possible by remapping the ECU, compressor tweaks, installing a new exhaust manifold and customizing the intake system.

As a result, the supercar is able to hit 200 km/h (124 mph) in less than 10 seconds and it will keep on going until it reaches an electronically limited top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph).

WRAPPING FOIL instead of PAINT COATING – SLR with 722 hp, completely foiled
The diversity in the wrapping foil market follows the boom of time and is not quite clear. There one can easily get a no-name foil especially while self-assembly. And when there is a possibility that the final result could be quite far from your expectations, it’s time to apply to a specialist. Therefore, it’s preferable to consult a specialist at first.

From the very beginning, the company CUT48 was famous for handwork car wrapping foil due to its excellent quality and precision. This refers to the choice of foil, design and tastefully coordinated colors and also to the sense of aesthetics and perfectly precise handwork. CUT48 consumers felt this care beforehand. Its goal was to individualize the car in such a way that it would become something unique. Every day handmade masterpieces appear in the main quarters of the company in Münster. The masterpieces were created in such a way to realize the consumers’ personal preferences. So, the complete car has an original silver exterior paint coating and it is packed in blue and black gloss wrapping foil (4.350 Euro).

This time specialists of the company CUT48 have created an exceptional sweetheart, called McLaren SLR, which has just arrived from the assembly line with all imaginable features. After the power upgrade at EDO competition, the SLR has over 722 hp at maximal torque of 890 Nm. This power is reached due to quite a bunch of measures such as installed electronic tuning of the ECU, sport air filters and new sport catalytic converters, modified compressor work, new exhaust manifold and modified intake system. The whole work was monitored on the test stand. The 200 km/h speed limit is reached in less than 10 seconds respectively. Maximal speed is electronically limited at 345 km/h. Stainless steel sport exhaust system cares for the super sound. This is a pure sound enjoyment.

... the wrapping is pratical, not particularly on a SLR, but if used on one for promotional purposes.. not in that damn color. The sight of that glossy blue on a SLR it is, it was an eye-fork-stabbing experience.. if you can mind my saying..

What did I say about that McChip SLS..? Fouls come in pairs(at least) they hate the solitude.. These idiots just won't leave me be.. They wrecked those beautiful shapes with their second hand wrappings.. I hope they'll have nightmares of getting drowned in a sea of glossy blue.. because I might have one after seeing this..

The color may not be great but think of the actual wraps like this....they protect the actual paint job from chips and pebbles...keeping the actual paint pristine. I used to hate wraps but they do have a good purpose.

Let me tell you something.. 99% of the people who own a Mercedes SLR have little to no reason to buy something like this, because all the driving is done by them through town or to the 2-3 million euros/dollar.. house they own. is done on asphalt. No pebbles result in no chips, not unless the chips are done by somebody jealous with a key(and those will be scratches not chips).. case in which the wrappings do not do much. They could however suit for the roads and driving conditions in Cecenia or someother god forsaken place, where there are crazy warlords that would buy a SLR and actually drive it on those roads, where the wrappings would be useful, offering protection from pebles, but not from bulletholes.. Less likely in that color. Letting the irony aside, in general, I agree that the wrapp
