Up from 313 HP.

The Audi SQ5 TDI has received more power courtesy of German tuner B&B.

The standard version of the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine produces 313 HP (230 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. B&B considered it not enough so they prepared a three-stage upgrade kit which begins with a minor increase in boost pressure of 0.15 bar and revised electronics, increasing output to 340 HP (250 kW) and 537 lb-ft (728 Nm). Stage 1 is priced at 1,498 EUR.

Stage 2 costs 1,698 EUR and includes additional electronics optimization which lifts power to 365 HP (268 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm). Lastly, Stage 3 is 4,950 EUR and brings custom injection components, new intercooler, air ducts and intake paths. After making the changes, the V6 TDI is capable of delivering 395 HP (290 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm).

Thanks to these tweaks, the Audi SQ5 TDI completes the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 4.7 seconds (0.5s quicker) and can reach a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h), up from 155 mph (250 km/h).

The spring set (398 EUR) lowers the sporty crossover by 25mm and reduces body roll. There's also a custom adjustable coilover suspension for 1,698 EUR and a stainless steel exhaust system (1,950 EUR).

The Engines that won lemans are 3.7 V6 and 5.5l V12, with aprox 530hp and 650hp (qualify trim, 10% less in the race)... Wich is acceptable for a diesel, but I remember that the Porsche 917 from the 1970's had a 5.4L V12 that did up to 1580hp... But back then, petrol engines werent restricted to let diesels and hybrids win, like they do today ;)

youtube - Allan McNish - AUTOSPORT International 2013, at @6:35... so far i now than diesel is the one thats has been restricted to make petrol cars keep up... get your facts right, the petrol restrictions was there befor Audi come in with diesel , lets remember that no one put money on Audi that they can win with diesel :)

The restriction you're talking about is when they downsized diesels from 5.5 V12 to 3.7L V6, and petrol, the max you can have is 2.0 turbo, half the size... that's why diesels win
