Jeep has prepared a significant facelift for the Grand Cherokee which debuts today at NAIAS, following yesterday's teaser.
The front fascia of the American off-roader has been restyled showing Chrysler 300-inspired headlights and a revised seven-slot grille with an updated bumper. The back gets new LED taillights and modified tail gate and bumper.
Inside the cabin we notice a redesigned center stack with new HVAC controls, while the infotainment systems feature 5- or 8.4-inch touchscreen displays. Other changes include the steering wheel, transmission lever and a new instrument cluster boasting a 7-inch color TFT.
The most important change can be found under the hood where the facelifted Grand Cherokee gets a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine for the Limited, Overland and Summit models where it returns an estimated 30 mpg (36 mpg UK or 7.8 liters / 100 km) on the highway. There's also a new automatic 8-speed transmission with paddle shifters which can be connected to all engines.
Full details will be available later today.
