Toyota GRMN Vitz Turbo and Aqua G Sports debut at Tokyo Auto Salon [videos]

With significant changes

Toyota and Gazoo Racing have introduced the GRMN Vitz Turbo and Aqua G Sports concept at 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon.

The special Vitz is based on the three-door model with the 1.5-liter engine which has received a turbocharger and is now capable of outputting 150 HP (110 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft). Power is transferred to the ground through a five-speed manual transmission.

Riding on 17-inch alloys with 215/45 R17 tires, the custom Vitz benefits from a specially tuned suspension and bespoke front+rear disc brakes. It has modified rear bumper cover and lights, while inside it features exclusive sport seats and a different steering wheel.

As for the Aqua G Sports, this is a gasoline-hybrid with a 1.5-liter engine developing 74 HP (54 kW) and 111 Nm (82 lb-ft), along with an electric motor generating an extra 61 HP (45 kW) and 169 Nm (125 lb-ft). Overall, the car has a maximum output of 100 HP (73 kW).

This one too has 17-inch wheels but with 195/45 R17 tires, along with bespoke bumpers, radiator grille and a tweaked suspension. Inside the custom interior cabin there are aluminum pedals and sport seats.
