A preliminary sketch of the upcoming 2014 Dodge Dart SRT4 has surfaced online.
About a year ago we heard news about a possible SRT4 version of the Dodge Dart and this seems very likely now judging by the photo posted by a user on Neon Enthusiasts forums. This will sit on top of the Dart lineup which means it will be more powerful than the recently introduced GT version.
While the GT has a 4-cylinder 2.4-liter engine with 184 hp (137 kW), the SRT4 model could get Alfa Romeo's 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter turbo engine or a more powerful version of Dodge's Tigershark mill. Output is estimated at about 300 hp (224 kW) with a dual-clutch gearbox included in the package.
The photo posted is signed by Tim Doyle who is the lead exterior designer of the Dart which makes us believe this is the real deal. An official announcement should be made in the coming months. Starting price will probably be a few thousand dollars more than GT's 20,995 USD sticker.
