2014 Cadillac ELR teased in official spy photo
Debuts in Detroit
Cadillac has released the second teaser image of the 2014 ELR.
Previewed by the Converj concept, the production model will be a sporty two-door coupe that has a "dramatic design with industry-leading extended range." Chief engineer Chris Thomason also revealed the model will have unique features which will "change the way people think about luxury and electrification."
Specifications remain a mystery, but Cadillac has previously announced the car will have an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a four-cylinder engine-generator. It will operate primarily on electricity but can use the four-cylinder engine to boost its range when the battery is low.
The Cadillac ELR will go into production later this year and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
