Everything from gold-plated to illuminated polycarbonate

Rolls-Royce embraces old world luxury and charm, but if you're looking for something a tad more ostentatious you might want to check out their latest option - an illuminated, polycarbonate ‘Flying Lady’ hood ornament.

Looking virtually identical to the one that debuted on the 101EX concept at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, the production polycarbonate Flying Lady is instantly recognizable and sure to draw some onlookers.

If that's not flashy enough, the company has also announced plans to offer gold-plated and solid sterling silver versions. Those not wanting to flaunt their wealth, at least as much, can opt for the tried and true stainless steel version which is cast using the "lost wax" technique.

How is this news? They have offered the lighted Spirit of Ecstasy for a while, and a Gold plated lady ($8,000) has been offered for years!!! The Sterling Silver one has also been an option for a while. I do not see how WCF thought this was news?? Odd.
