Infiniti Q50 teased before NAIAS debut [video]

Launching January 14

Infiniti has released a teaser video with its upcoming Q50 (ex G sedan) scheduled to debut on January 14 at NAIAS.

After reaching one million fans on its Facebook page, Infiniti has decided to offer a small gift by presenting a first glimpse of its new luxury sports sedan. The Q50 is the successor of the G sedan and will adopt menacing-looking headlamps with an LED accent wave running through the top end.

It will be the first model to adopt Infiniti's new naming structure which consists of a letter and a number designation based on the body and the car's position in the lineup. Sedans and cabrios will use Q, while SUVs will have QX.

We will have further details on January 14 when the car debuts in Detroit.

Q50? The name does not ring a bell nor create an image in my mind for Infiniti's corporate identity.

Hope Audi and BMW are getting royalty with every car maker coming up with LED flare head lights and such.
