Porsche has released a new promotional video that highlights the construction of the Panamera Sport Turismo concept.
Originally unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, the Panamera Sport Turismo was developed over the course of several months. During the process designers sweated over details such as making the model sporty, practical and Porsche-like.
According to Mitja Borkert, General Manager of Porsche Advanced Design, "The Panamera has one body style today, the body style of a four-door coupe. We were intrigued by the idea of developing another version for Porsche - in other words to design a version of a sporty Panamera, a sports station wagon."
As we have previously reported, Panamera Sport Turismo concept has a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 333 HP (245 kW) supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, a 95 HP (70 kW) electric motor and a 9.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. It enables the car to have a combined maximum output of 416 HP (306 kW) which enables it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than six seconds, average 3.5 L/100km (67.2 mpg US / 80.7 mpg UK) and have CO2 emissions of less than 82 g/km.
