McLaren P1 production version previewed at private event [video]

97 percent of concept's design retained

During a private event McLaren revealed a preview for the P1 production version scheduled to come out sometime next year.

As a reminder, when McLaren introduced the concept in Paris they said 97 percent of its design will be retained for the production model. During the New York private event, a spokesman for the company talked about what minor exterior styling changes we should expect to see.

He mentioned that a few vents will be added to the front bumper to get some of the warm air from the radiator coming out from the side. At the back it will feature a tighter mesh design that will still probably allow people to see the P1's mechanicals.

McLaren didn't reveal any engine details but they did mention the P1 will get at least three radiators.

What a childish comment. It's not smiling! Open your eyes and look. It's unpainted carbon fiber! I rather you'd say you'd prefer it painted.
