2014 Chevrolet Corvette (not official)

Debuts on January 13

Corvette Forum user BlueOx has posted a few photos of what could very well be the new Corvette.

He mentions in the forum post that he got these pictures from "a variety of people" during the last few months and although we are not entirely sure about their authenticity, these do look like the real deal. We get to see the C7's rear end, engine bay and interior cabin.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 will be officially revealed on January 13th before its NAIAS debut. Power will come from a new 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine producing about 450 hp (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque. It will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 4 seconds and return 26+ mpg US on the highway.

The interior looks great, but i'm not so rure of the rear of the car... What I liked most about the corvete looks, was the simple yet elegant design, without too much holes or vents like most ferraris, lambos, and Mclarens have...

Looks like the designers were overruled by the engineers with alot of aerodynamic accoutrements but awkwardly integrated rather than into a handsome design like Ferrari/Porsche and/or Lambo. Hoped they improved on that mickey mouse dash from the Camaro, the saving grace to this nich player will have to be a better handler than its nervous tail of the previous gen and fit & finnish. A good Mustang substitute!

I'm gonna miss a pair of matching, er.., pair of round-ish rear lights. I was really hoping to see more of sting-ray from Transformers Movie...

I'll miss the B-pillars (such an iconic Corvette trait!) but the rest is definitely an improvement over the design of the C6!! It's the first time in over 25 years that a Corvette design shows ANY signs of looking forward!! Most of the updates from the mid-cycle C4-on have been lazy at best, with the jellybean C5 the absolute worst of them all!

The rear doesn't look that good, the interior looks stupid with those different shape AC vents with different locations. Some thing is wrong in the interior. The Viper is much better looking than this.

From Chevrolet: When the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette arrives late next year, it will be powered by a technologically advanced, racing-proven 6.2L V-8

There's a similarity of profile and headlights to the earlier "leak" for the front. Looks very Corvette-like. While there's a lot of heritage to hold true to (and which I appreciate as Porsche fan), the Corvette has taken some radical changes over the years. I was hoping for one of those with this new model. http://www.worldcarfans.com/112121851782/2014-chevrolet-corvette-front-revealed-in-service-manual/lowphotos#1

I could live with most of this design, but why did they ditched the B-pillar that was a Vette signature for 40 or so years?? Cars profile looks... like every other supercar. Shame. I have to wait till I see real photos, but it seems like I have to keep dreaming of current Z06... :)

It will be interesting to see what this looks like in the metal i really liked the back from the sting ray concept and it looks like theyve tried to put some of that into this but if the use the right materials it could look good...if they dont could look cheap. As for interior looks a bit like srt vipers with some ferrari features ripped off as well

The rear end looks awful, as a sketch. Maybe in full 3d angles my opinion will change......I find hard to swallow those vents located near the outer tail lights from a design point of view....The same goes for the lower part of the rear-end with the aerodynamic diffuser. It's full of lines that don't have continuity.

I hope these pics are accurate, and according to the spy shots, I think they are The rear looks nice. Despite the fact it's pretty much cut and pasted from the Camaro, it actually looks aggressive, like a muscle car should I really hope these pics are accurate, it's shaping up to be pretty good

this just can't be.....the rear looks like what we have been seeing in spy shots (and i pray they are wrong), but the dashboard looks like a slightly rehashed of an early 90's vette dashboard. i can't believe they would revisit a design of their own that is 20 plus years old (and wasn't well received even then). please let these be wrong, this is the vette's time to rule!
