To be produced in Marysville, Ohio

A Honda spokesman has released some details about the upcoming NSX sports car.

Chris Martin said that Honda will not reveal pricing info about the upcoming NSX in the near future, but he did say that it will be more expensive than the 2013 Nissan GT-R which in the United States starts from 97,820 USD. He added that "it's going to be a technological marvel."

The Honda/Acura NSX is scheduled to reach production phase for the 2015 model year and it will be manufactured in Marysville, Ohio. It will be an important car for the brand since it's going to be the first hand-built, specialty sports car that Honda has ever made outside Japan. The NSX is expected to get a hybrid powertrain and a mid-engine layout with an all-wheel drive system.

It's a very nice design, and it fits in well with their other models. I'm sure it will be a good value. They can't go too high, because there's an appealing 911 out there for everyone. I'm just not seeing R8 in this car at all. No snout, no gills, and more creases than curves. Yes, it does have the proportions of a mid-engined car, but I doubt they were emulating the Audi.

This car will be nothing what the NSX should be... Is going to bea heavy with all the hybrid stuff, less reliable, complicated. And much probably won't be able to kick the ass of car like the 458, Mclaren 12c, or Porsche 911's, wich the first gen NSX did, and that's why it was so legendary

can see full aluminium chassis and carbon body mix to justify the price. ns-x was all aluminium, revolution for its time and honda might adopt this once more. hybrid KERS would also answer for that price, making it a very good proposition for an everyday supercar....me want

There are many cars more expensive than the GTR and they have not failed. It's not always about price. The problem the GTR has is that its too cheap and you can see them more frequently. Half the fun of having a super car is that you're not likely to run into another one just like the one you have. I hope this car is a success.

Well I'm not terribly surprised since it will have a lot of new tech in the car, such as that fancy hybrid power train. Personally I think Acura is going to wrong way with this car, they should had kept the old NSX idea alive. Why? Because the old NSX was light, less complicated (which means it was a hell lot more reliable, easy and cheap to fix), and most importantly cheap. The new NSX will be none of those things, which is a shame.

I think it should be more expensive than the gtr, just for the mere fact that its an Acura not a Honda... but shouldn't cost more than 130k.

If it is more expensive than Godzilla, it's going to be stepping into R8 territory. The NSX really should be a technological marvel to justify its high price tag.
