Audi has released a video trailer for its recently announced 2014 RS6 Avant. The new and improved super wagon will reach European showrooms next summer, with no plans of arriving stateside.
As a reminder, the car makes use of a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine generating 560 HP (412 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. Power is transferred to the quattro all-wheel drive system via an 8-speed tiptronic transmission, enabling the RS6 Avant to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in only 3.9 seconds.
The standard model can reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h), while with the optional Dynamic package can hit 174 mph (280 km/h). Audi also offers the Dynamic Plus package which increases maximum speed to an impressive 190 mph (305 km/h).
Featuring start/stop and cylinder on-demand fuel-saving systems, the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant is able to return 24 mpg US (28.8 mpg UK or 9.8 liters / 100 km), making it approximately 40 percent more economical than the model it replaces.
