Skoda has released new teaser photos of its third-gen Octavia.
The new photos show the design of the front grille, side mirrors with built-in turning lights and for the first time, the interior cabin looks more upscale compared to the second-gen model. We notice the steering wheel with voice command buttons, chrome finish for the instrument gauges and a generous display for the infotainment system.
As previously mentioned, the new Octavia will be moved upmarket by offering more equipment and higher quality materials inside the cabin. Prices are expected to go up, but the affordable versions that made the car a hit in Europe will be retained.
The Skoda Octavia III is based on the MQB platform and will be considerably lighter than the outgoing version. Engine lineup will probably be borrowed from the Golf VII, while a vRS version could get a 2.0-liter turbo engine.
A full reveal is expected before the end of the year.
