New Panamera variants are a go

Porsche CEO Matthias Mueller has confirms plans to add at least four new models - including the Macan and 918 Spyder - by 2018.

Speaking with Automotive News Europe, Mueller said the company won't decide on whether to build a new sports car to slot between the 911 and 918 Spyder until the end of next year. If the car is green-lighted, it will likely ride on the MMB platform that will also underpin the next-generation Audi R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo.

When asked an entry-level sedan, codenamed the Pajun (Panamera Junior), Mueller said it's a "possibility" but didn't give a time frame on when it could be approved for production.

While there's still some doubt about the aforementioned vehicles, Mueller confirmed there will be new Panamera derivatives.  Choices could include a coupe and a wagon like the Panamera Sport Turismo concept.

So long as they show some sort of discretion and good sense in expanding their range and don't just pad it out. All killer, no filler.

Hopefully a 928 successor I think a lot of us are looking forward to finally happen. They have a very good base for it now with the Sport Turismo concept..
