Entirely redesigned Bentley SUV to be called Falcon - report
Bentley EXP 9 F SUV concept

EXP 9 F moniker dropped

Recent report indicates that Bentley's upcoming SUV could be called Falcon and is expected to look entirely different than the concept.

The Bentley EXP 9 F concept is anything but a beautiful car. However, this might change according to AutomobileMag who is reporting that the SUV will be redesigned from the ground up by Luc Donckerwolke, Bentley's new design chief. The vehicle has been given the green light by the product strategy team and could reach showrooms by 2015.

Other pending premium car projects on VW Group's list for at least 12 months include the Lamborghini Urus, Bugatti Galibier and the Bentley Azure convertible.

Hmm.. Bentley Falcon.. Dosent sound very british to me. I understand bentley wants to make profits alot more but whats worng making a baby version of the continental costing about £50k? C63/RS4 Rival maybe? That would propably be bentley's best seller, not this stupid block of lancaster cheese on wheels with a name of a big bird thats not even fat or ugly. Range Rover wont be worried with this.

By naming it 'Falcon', they clearly have the Persian Gulf Arabs in mind. After all, it's a huge high end luxury AND SUV market.

If Luc is on the case, it will probably look very nice, he did some great stuff for Lamborghini. Also, it cannot possibly look any worse.

Well i think it´s good news (depending on what a new design will bring up), but i never liked this concept much tbh. Reminds me to much about some of Britains not so attractive cars. The interior looked fantastic thou.

While I will never be able to afford one anyways I'm a little bummed that the EXP 9 F isn't going to be put into production. I still think it's a very attractive SUV

i hope it's not a complete redesign. the front was pretty ugly because of the headlights, the same with part of the back. but overall it's a pretty luxurious looking suv. this doesn't need to look sporty like the continental gt but have the same allure as the mulsanne. also gorgeous interior

It needs a more Royal-ish/British name. Names like Brooklands and Mulsanne sound so prestigious but 'Falcon'?! Naah..

Legally, it will have to be called something else in Australia...but I would hope most Australians would have enough sense of style to never buy this car regardless of what it is called...

Actually by 2015 there probably wont be a Ford Falcon. But yes, here's to hoping we never have to cross that bridge!
