BMW M6 Coupe making M prints for fans [video]

Car creating autographs

BMW's M division has decided to create a special gift for its fans.

They took a 2012 BMW M6 Coupe and put Matt Mullins behind the wheel. He is the Chief Driving Instructor of the BMW Performance Driving School and he had to race the car over special paper to create unique autographs for M fans across the world with the help of specially applied ink to the tire treads. According to YouTube comments, some have already started receiving this special present from BMW's M division.

To refresh your memory, the M6 Coupe is powered by a twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter engine producing 552 hp (412 kW) and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. The engine is linked to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission and needs 4.2 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h), before reaching an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Fitted with the optional M Driver's Package, top speed can be increased to 189 mph (305 km/h).

Check out the video above to see how they did it.

The optional M Driver's Package- so the car is capable (way capable of such speed/handling).The REASON once for the self-restriction and limitation to a 155mph by all major manufacturers capable of developing cars BEYOND that speed was safety. Now it has whithered down to a marketing tool to get an extra pound of flesh out of the proud owner of such a bolid. - A four hour driving course, btw, a better high speed driver does not make- Yet another marketing tool.

Nice promo. Were the fuel pump issues ever resolved on the 2013 M6 & M5?
