Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio teased for L.A. debut [video]

Should have 160 bhp (119 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque

Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have teamed up to tease the US-spec Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio.

Set to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the convertible features an aggressive body kit with new bumpers and revised side skirts. We can also expect high-performance brakes, a sport-tuned suspension, a dual exhaust system and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Like the coupe, the convertible will be powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 160 bhp (119 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque. It will send power to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission that promises to deliver quick acceleration and reasonable fuel efficiency.
