2013 Toyota RAV4 teased, debuts in Los Angeles [video]
Promises to have sophistication and strength
Toyota has released the first teaser video of the 2013 RAV4, ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 28th.
Designed to make you "feel good," the crossover promises to rewrite the rules of style by "embodying sophistication and strength." The video only gives us a few glimpses of the model but it appears to have a Camry-inspired front fascia with a slender grille and angular headlights.
Additional information is limited, but the model is expected to be slightly larger than its predecessor and ride on an updated version of its current platform.
Engine options could carryover, so expect choices to include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 178 bhp (133 kW) and a 3.5-liter V6 with 268 bhp (200 kW). Both will likely be connected to a new six-speed automatic transmission which should improve fuel efficiency and performance. Front-wheel drive will be standard, but all-wheel will be optional.
