Chevrolet has released a new teaser video of the 2014 Corvette, ahead of its unveiling on January 13th.
The clip provides a few glimpses of the car, but it's more notable for showing several early design proposals of the upcoming model. Most of them are pretty futuristic, so don't expect them to resemble the production Corvette.
If we were to make an educated guess, the top right design in the sixth photo appears to be the closest preview of the production model as it closely resembles previous prototypes and has a similar front bumper to the one that was revealed in a leaked video.
The redesigned Corvette will be powered by a new 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that produces approximately 450 bhp (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque. It should enable the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds and return 26+ mpg highway (US).
