Will preview the production model

We've already heard rumors that BMW is preparing to introduce an X4 concept at the North American International Auto Show, but new report is indicating the company will also unveil a 4-Series Coupe concept.

Car & Driver says the model will be a thinly veiled concept that previews the production coupe. As previous spy photos have shown, the model will have an evolutionary design with a new front fascia that likely borrows some cues from the 3- and 6-Series.

Engine options will likely carryover from the sedan, so expect petrol choices to include a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with outputs of 184 HP (135 kW) and 245 HP (180 kW) as well as a 3.0-liter inline-six that develops 306 HP (225 kW).

I like the idea of the 3 series just being 4 door sedans and the even numbered beemers being coupes. If this is the case I think the 6 series should be slightly bigger unless a new 8 series is in the works...

It's a sign of the times when you have to ask the question: is this a two-door or four-door car? lol.

I am loving the side profile of the 4 series. Looks more like a proper coupe rather than a 2 door saloon.
