Excite Rallye Raid Team will use this Range Rover Evoque Desert Warrior 3 in the FIA T3 world championship.
Power comes from a BMW 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 275 hp (205 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) connected to a six-speed ZF sequential gearbox. Without any restrictions, this power unit can develop 350 hp (261 kW).
Various modifications were necessary to make the vehicle eligible for Rallye Raid events, including 16-inch Compomotive Atacama Rally Raid wheels with BF Goodrich Desert Race G series tires. It also has 8 Reiger coilovers and a 260-liter fuel tank that provides a maximum range of 1,200 km (745 miles).
This modified Evoque has a curb weight of 1,900 kg (4189 lbs) and comes with a double piston system that has a speed-dependent damper. Other highlights include a rebound control valve (detects if the wheels are on the ground), a corner control valve (detects if the vehicle is cornering or going straight) and a lateral control valve (detects if the compression is caused by the body going down or wheel going up).
The car's specifications are available in the press release section.
