Ken Block keeps racing despite fire in cockpit [video]

What fire ?

Ken Block kept on racing for a while during Global Rally Cross SEMA despite a cockpit fire in his Ford Fiesta.

He qualified for the event first and won each of the heats and led the first five laps at Global Rally Cross SEMA. However, Ken Block was forced to retire due to a serious fire in his cockpit, but not before driving a few laps while his car was on fire.

Block was very disappointed that he had to retire from the race which was eventually won by Tanner Foust. If it was entirely up to him, he probably would have kept on racing judging by the fact that he didn’t care at all when the center console was on fire.

You'd notice the smoke. Honestly that's just stupid, not only did he endanger himself but damaged his car more than necessary.

He must have been in the zone and not notice the fire. A real racedriver keeps his eyes and all his senses concetrated on the road and on the race.
