Lexus trademarks 'RC 350', could be LF-CC production version

Lexus trademarks RC 350, could be LF-CC production version

Might get a 3.5-liter V6.

Lexus filed a trademark in Australia for the "RC 350" nameplate which could possibly represent a production version of the stunning LF-CC.

About a week ago Lexus trademarked the "NX 200t" and "NX 300h" nomenclatures in U.S. and Canada, and now we have learned that they also trademarked “RC 350” in Australia.

While the letter "R" only tells us that it won’t be related to the GS or IS series, "C" probably stands for coupe, based on previous SC models. Judging by the "350", it most likely means that this car will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine.

As a reminder, the Lexus LF-CC concept was showcased in Paris this year as a preview for a future mid-size coupe. It borrowed some styling cues first seen on the LF-LC, such as the spindle grille, steeply-raked windscreen and LED headlights.

Boy I sure hope the Dar share of Aston Martin goes to Toyota. They need it badly. As always, Toyota/Lexus have great designers and produce great concepts with amazing sketches. I have a feeling that this one (as well) will fall short on execution. Acquire Aston Martin, build incredibly reliably cars as you normally do (but without hardware encoded ECU/TCU), and then let Aston Martin be your "F" devision. Aston knows a lot more about aesthetics, luxury, and performance. That would take toyota/lexus to new levels.

Aesthetics
in most cases dramatic styling by todays trend is used to pull in a crowd but has no positive effects on views to the delight of critics...this one is done with fine understanding of aesthetics, tasteful curves, lines and shapes although some portion are a bit overly expressed. nice 2+2

Awesome looking thing, you can tell how much work the designers have put in, the front bumper, headlights, wing mirrors... amazing

that V6 better not have less than a 400 hp or the car will be pointless.
