Nissan Altima V8 Supercar hits the track [video]

Enters competition early next year

Nissan has released a new video of their Altima V8 Supercar that will compete in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship.

Driven by Todd Kelly, the Altima puts in a few laps at Australia's Calder Park Raceway for aerodynamic testing. According to Kelly, "This is really the result of everything we've designed and worked for this year." He added, "The car feels unbelievable and sounds unbelievable."

As we have previously reported, the Altima V8 Supercar features a production-based VK56DE engine, a transaxle gearbox and an independent rear suspension. It is also equipped with an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front splitter, a rear diffuser and a prominent wing.

you obvious dont follow V8 supercars. The Chassis is built by a different company. They have no choice but to widen the body to adjust for the wide track.

That front track is way unnecessarily wide for a Nissan... they could prolly go 1/3 that width.
