This is the most revealing photo of the upcoming 2013 Skoda Octavia, looking a lot like the outgoing generation and borrowing some styling cues from the Rapid with a hint of Audi.
Based on the MQB platform, it will be 250mm longer and will be slotted above Rapid and below Superb, with an engine lineup from Golf VII. In other words, expect a 1.2-liter TSI with 105 HP (77 kW), a larger 1.4-liter TSI with 140 HP (103 kW), along with a 1.6-liter TDI with 105 HP (77 kW) and a 2.0-liter TDI that develops 150 HP (110 kW).
The Czech automaker also plans a more potent vRS version which will probably get a 2.0-liter EA888 turbocharged engine. Most likely, this hotter model will be launched later after the regular versions come out.
A full revealing is expected this month.
