Tanker carrying LPG explodes in China, kills five people [videos]

Three of them were firemen.

Today we bring you some horrible news from China where a tanker that was carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tipped over and then burst into flames. As you can see from these two videos the explosion was extremely violent and you can notice the shockwave immediately after the blast.

To fully understand how brutal the explosion was, we should mention that it destroyed a considerable number of cars and fire trucks, as well as uprooting trees in the nearby vicinity. Because of this explosion, two people were instantly killed, while an additional three firemen died later while they were trying to control the fire.

You would think that this is a rare incident, but Beijing Cream reports that last Wednesday a similar incident occurred and three men were seen running for their lives after a truck located behind them burst into flames.

They would have been safer if they'd just stayed in their cars. That shock wave was fascinating.

the quality of reporting on wcf has gone down substantially from a couple years ago. i've been a daily wcf reader for the past six years and it is a great site in terms of general content, but the editing has been lacking as of recent. i wish i could read an article on wcf without feeling as if it were written by a high school freshman.
