Our spies have managed to snap pictures of the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG.

Caught undergoing testing at the Nürburgring, the heavily-camouflaged prototype has an aggressive front fascia, aerodynamic side skirts and a modified rear bumper with a dual exhaust system. We can also see a trunk-mounted spoiler, high-performance brakes and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Like the A 45 AMG, the model is expected to feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops approximately 335 HP (246 kW) and 400+ Nm (295+ lb-ft) of torque. It will likely be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system. This could enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds and hit a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

Please say they will not put that tacky 9 inch star on the grill. Go back to the classic small star hood ornament, please don't go ghetto with this one.

Well given the convergence of technology in cars now a days, that 9 inch star is about 50% of the market value of this car.

MB is the only company and a bit of Lexus that has to make their logo so big. They have to get some class and stop it. Its a nice car, just a tacky over sized logo. Lexus has a normal size logo but then puts Lexus next to the logo. Makes no sense.

@e92 miami: haha, who let you on a car website? Crying about the grille logo being too big, you don't have the slightest clue what you're saying. Every top-end model or model with sporty character from MB has been given a big star in the grille. Don't tell me the usual grille with a very small star on top of the bonnet is more sportive. You ever seen the back logo of the VW Touareg? And do you think a standing star on the bonnet would have been better on the SL series, CL series, 300SL, 190SL? It all has to do with marketing, and it has always been this way and nobody complained. Little wonder. Also, don't try to compare so

@Helmydemeester....uuhhh First off learn how to read, second I don't give a crap about the reason its TACKY. Third, thanks for proving my point about the people who like to show off with a over sized logo. I bet you also love all the extra strips of LED lights MB puts on their cars for no reason. You don't see BMW, Audi or Porsche with huge logos only MB and Lexus. Enough said~
