Intoxicated driver destroys a Lamborghini Murcielago
Wrecked 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago

He made it out alive.

It’s never a good idea to mix alcohol or drugs while driving as the end result could be fatal. It was a lucky day for a 35-year-old man from San Marcos who destroyed his 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago but made it out alive, while travelling at a speed of approximately 100 mph (162 km/h) at 11:20 PM on the I-15 north of Mission Road.

A California Highway Patrol officer named Jim Bettencourt said the supercar hit the center divider, was split in half and then burst into flames. The driver was rushed over to the hospital to receive treatment for some injuries, including facial burns. Because of this accident, the road was closed in both directions for about 20 minutes.

Check out the source link below for more photos of the wreckage.

A ton of crash posts lately, this one is definitely a very irresponsible one. Speeding is one thing, but driving while completely intoxicated adds to the level of dangerousness (if there was ever such a level, and if dangerousness was even an actual word) anyway, this is the most irresponsible anyone can be while behind the wheel. Of course he can consider himself extremely lucky to be alive, but he's going to be paying off those insurance premiums and his deductible, not to mention his insurance is skyrocketing as we speak. Stupidity.....

I'm pretty sure the worst of late was the GT2 RS that was totaled, pretty sure that drivered died as well, no way someone could servive that. And if he/she did die, thats one less jackass on the road and ungratefull as$#@le.

I don't feel sorry for drug / alcohol abuse fatalities (yes, there isn't one here.. generally speaking). It's better be them then some innocent pedestrian or car.

He was drunk. I have seen many rich people get away with murder to feel any mercy for them.

He drunk alcohol and used drugs while driving, innocent drivers and kids could have been dead. F**K You for supporting him. I don't give a f** about a lambo.

Sounds like a scene from a Michael Bay movie. Villain trying to escape in a fast lambo, hits central reservation, splits in two pieces, both pieces burst into flame, villain crawls from the wreckage to fight another day!
