BMW 328i and Renault Clio RS2 racing on the Nürburgring [video]

A very close race.

The video above was recorded by a dashboard-mounted camera installed in a modified BMW 328i (E36) sedan while tackling a race-prepared Renault Clio RS2 at the Nürburgring. Behind the wheel of the 3-Series was the owner of the YouTube channel “nurburgdale”, while driving the Clio was Darren Langeveld of Ringweeks and Destination-Nurburgring.

Filmed below on a different occassion the 328i managed to do a lap of the ‘Ring in 8 minutes and 20 seconds. The owner now plans on stripping the interior to shave off 100 kg (220 lbs), along with installing racing bucket seats and harnesses.

Full details about the BMW can be found in the source link below.

Wow the 328i driver knows how to roll. I guess the guy in the Clio didn't see that one coming.

That Clio is so much faster (except on high speeds), but the 328i driver has much more experience of that track and is taking quite agressive lines, almost like if he were on a normal short race track.
