Lexus has been relatively quiet about the LFA Spyder, but the company has given American talk show host and well known car enthusiast/collector Jay Leno an exclusive test drive of the one-off model.
Before getting to the good stuff, Leno gives us a behind the scenes tour of LFA production. Once the carbon fiber tub is completed, it moves onto an assembly line where workers complete the car in just three days. When everything is finished, the LFA undergoes ten days of inspection where workers examine more than 7,000 inspection points.
After touring the factory, Leno arrives at the Fuji Speedway where he drives the LFA Spyder which he describes as the "only one in the world and the only one they will build." He goes on to say the model has no roof and uses the same 4.8-liter V10 engine - that develops 560 PS (412 kW / 553 hp) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque - as the standard model.
