Reveals the model's new look

Our spy photographers have already caught the 2014 Mercedes E-Class on multiple occasions, but we're starting to get a glimpse at one of the model's biggest changes.

Jokeforblog has managed to get their hands on an alleged photo of the model's new headlight. It reveals a one-piece unit with two lights which are apparently surrounded by LED-infused strips.

As we have previously reported, the facelifted E-Class will feature modified bumpers, a revised grille and the aforementioned headlights. Engine options could carryover with minor upgrades so expect choices to include a 3.5-liter V6 with 333 hp (248 kW / 338 PS), a turbocharged 4.6-liter V8 with 435 hp (324 kW / 441 PS) and a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 with 537 hp (400 kW / 544 PS). There could also be a new entry-level model with a Renault-sourced 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that develops approximately 156 hp (116 kW / 158 PS).

Awful looking lamp. Roll on the W213 - the 212 hasn't aged well, in fact IMHO it looked dated at launch.

That's rich coming from someone with a nickname referring to the brand with the least possible variety and evolution in their entire lineup.

wow.. these are a lot of changes for a facelift... Audi could take 30 years and couldn't do half of these changes..

Personally speaking I really like the quad headlights. They're very distinctive and have been an E-class signature for many years over a few generations.

The more intreguing thing no one has noticed is the shape of the plastic below....thats an interesting gap to be inserted into the new bonnet with what look like the shape of the old lights.....thoughts any one

I have read few times in Motor Trent and Autoblog and even Mercedes benz blog that the engines will get a power boost. The 3.5 is a bit less powerful than BMWs 3.0 Twinscrol turbo and Audi's 3.0 SC so they will boost some hp from their 3.5. Check out some renderings and engine figures here http://mercedes-benz-blog.blogspot.com/2012/08/preview-2013-mercedes-benz-e-class-fl.html

first thought into my mind was that the "bulb" part of it looks like one of those parasite things from alien. Looks pretty sick.
