Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept breaks cover [video]

Previews the styling of second-gen Panamera.

At the beginning of last month we talked about Porsche’s intention of bringing to the Paris Motor Show a Panamera-inspired concept wagon and now we have the real deal. It’s called the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept and aims to be a rival for the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake, while adopting the styling we’ll see in the new generation of the Panamera.

Noticing the “e-Hybrid” badge on the front door, chances are that Porsche plans a plug-in hybrid variant for the second-gen Panamera. The attractive headlights are not entirely new, as we’ve seen a similar design in recent models wearing the Porsche badge, such as the 918 Spyder and the new Boxster.

More details to follow soon…

I'll state the obvious - This car needs a liftback to revive the 928. The front already looks awesome.

This sure looks a whole lot better. It reminds me a bit of the 2006 audi roadjet. But I still can't see how porsche would make a car like a e class, the cayun or something. The panamera is almost the same size. Better do a 4door panamera convertible

Really like it has a much more muscular stance than the current version...like the new front headlights the rear is an improvement...the rear lights do remind me of the saab 9 5 but the interior is awesome...i really loved the 918 interior so nice to see its style in the main stream

This looks great! It's what the Panamera should have been from the start.

I alwas had something to complain about the Panamera but there is something special about it. This concept though looks special and so gorgeous. Just do it Porsche.

The design i beautiful, but it seem that nobody comments the interior which is the best I've seen so far.

I am assuming that since its a concept the interior will not look like that for the production model.

I'm really glad they finally mended the previously hideous rear of the Panamera. It's very encouraging for the next gen !

What the panamera should have looked like (front) front the start. A massive improvement over the current fugly pig. Back has a bit of targa lights in it but again better then what they have now. top marks for this porsche.
