Singapore 'Sky Garage Apartments', a luxurious parking solution [video]

Parking your car next to the living room is a possibility in Singapore.

In crowded Singapore there aren’t a lot of free parking spaces available and those with exotic cars can’t just leave the vehicles outside on the street. However, those with very deep pockets can have a look at the Hamilton Scotts “Sky Garage Apartments” in the Orchard Road area to find a solution to their problems. We are talking about high-rise apartments that feature garages connected to the homes, along with hi-tech elevators for getting the vehicles there.

These are biometrically-controlled elevators that can bring the car right up to the apartment, sitting in a glass-enclosed garage that is located next to the apartment’s living room. How deep must the pockets be? Well, a two-vehicle garage home begins at $7.5M and goes all the way up to a whopping $24M for a penthouse that has a four-car garage.

For a lot less money I can reform my house, and have my car parked right beside my bed. So that is what I call convenience.
