Everytime a Porsche Macan prototype heads out for a latest round of testing, it looks more and more like a Cayenne that has been on a diet. Very little creativity or effort appears to have been put into the compact SUV which seems such a shame for such a reputable brand.
Nevertheless, we will be seeing the Porsche Macan on our roads in 2013 for the 2014 model year and it will be available with an array of petrol and diesel engines for the engine bay.
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 220 hp (164 kW / 223 PS) with prop up the range and it will be joined by a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 with 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS) and reportedly a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 370 hp (276 kW / 375 PS) in the Macan Turbo.
Diesel engines will include a 2.0-liter TDI with 190 hp (142 kW / 193 PS) and a 3.0-liter V6 TDI with 250 hp (186 kW / 253 PS). We also expect to see a hybrid powertrain make it to the line-up as well, likely sourced from the Audi Q5 hybrid.
