WCF reader spots Mercedes CLA sedan in traffic
Mercedes-Benz CLA sedan spy photo 05.07.2012

A WCF reader has photographed the 2013 Mercedes CLA caught in traffic on the Autobahn near Manheim in Germany last week. The photos are interesting as they portray the test prototype in every day surroundings with other vehicles nearby. It gives a good perspective as to the vehicle's overall size and presence.

Previewed by the Concept Style Coupe, the production model rides on the MFA platform and features svelte styling that is heavily influenced by the CLS.

Engine options will carryover from the A- and B-Class, so expect a variety of petrol and diesel options with outputs ranging from 109 PS (80 kW / 108 hp) to 211 PS (155 kW / 208 hp).

The CLA will be built in Kecskemét, Hungary and be launched sometime next year.

Special thanks to Philippe Corgié for sending the photos!

Is it based on the A Class? I think this one is going to be a big hit in Asia (my place)...where unfortunatley a lot of people still crave for cheap prestige over good sheer driving pleasure...oops...that came out instinctivly...
