The Goodwood Festival of Speed hosted some of the fastest supercars from around the world this past weekend. The event is uniquely special in the fact that the public can witness these rare and exotice vehicles as well as some of the latest new models in action for the first time. However, sometimes when supercars are dynamically pushed, circumstances don't always go according to plan.
That was the case with a Gumpert Apollo who apparently went into a sharp left handed turn a little too hot, broke traction, and drifted into the safety barrier with a fair amount of speed. Thanks to all of those in attendance we have a couple of videos showing different perspectives of the crash.
The Gumpert Apollo is a German high-performance supercar with a 4.2-liter bi-turbo Audi-sourced V8 engine which produces 650 PS (478 kW / 641 bhp) in its standard configuration. A 700 PS (515 kW / 690 bhp) Sport variant is also available.
