According to a report filed by Dutch site Telegraaf, the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series has sold out. All 800 units are accounted for after arriving in dealerships at the beginning of this year. Mercedes had originally planned to introduce just 650 units to the market but due to dealership pressure and customer demand, the production limit was extended.
Power came courtesy of AMG's 6.3-liter V8 engine that pumped 517 PS (380 kW / 510 bhp) to the wheels via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. The statistics allowed the C63 AMG Black Series to claim the title as the most powerful factory C-Class of all-time and also allowed it to hit 100kph(62mph) from standstill in just 4.2 seconds - 0.3 seconds quicker than the standard AMG version.
The halo car of the C-Class range became the fourth model to carry the coveted Black Series label following the SLK, CLK and SL versions and carried a sticker price of 115,430 euros (German market).
