Will preview the production model

According to a recent report, BMW will introduce a 1-Series GT concept at the Paris Motor Show.

Designed to preview the production model, the concept will be an MPV in the same vein as the Mercedes B-Class. It will ride on the UKL front-wheel drive platform that will also underpin the next-generation MINI Cooper.

Engine options remain a mystery, but Autocar says the model will be offered with a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. Nothing is official, but previous reports have indicated it could produce approximately 150 PS (110 kW / 148 hp).

BMW is certainly winning the race to the bottom, lol. I can envision a future where you'll be hard pressed to find a luxury car in a bmw showroom.

*sigh*. I'm sick of all these variants. I'm going just stick to what I know. 3, 5, 6 and 7 series. Forget the rest.
