Concept Alfa Carlo Chiti design proposal [video]

Marco Procaccini of MPcardesign sent WCF his ideas for a sport coupe called the Carlo Chiti, and we thought to share them with you to get your impressions.

Based on the Alfa Romeo 4C, Procaccini has evolved the design for something a bit more more sleek and agressive. Intended to compete with the BMW Z4, Porsche Cayman and Lotus Elise, the virtual vehicle measures 4050(L) x 1830(W) x 1250 (H).

In the video the Carlo Chiti proposes two rear-wheel drive layouts: front-mounted and mid-mounted engine configurations.

See if you can spot the differences.

I like this design which looks appealing and has the wow factor; the 4C has a retro look. By the design alone, this car would deliver critically and commercially. It's the brightest chance for Alfa to redeem their image, make more revenue and keep people at work. I can't stop admiring its beauty.

I prefer the looks of the FR layout car, but in terms of purity of balance, I suspect the MR car would be better.....then again, in true alfa style, the car would most likely have to be in FR form, with the gearbox at the rear of the car.

Well, as expected front mounted engine concept has a shorter hood. And there is also that triangular element behind front wheel arc.
