If you've ever wondered what happens to the various concepts that tour the auto show circuit, you'll definitely want to check out the latest video from Fox Marketing.

Featuring the company's 2009 Lexus IS F and 2010 IS C concepts, the clip reveals the grim fate that awaits a number of show cars that have outlived their purpose.

As we have previously reported, the IS F concept featured a twin-turbo V8 engine, an Eibach suspension and an Artisan cat-back exhaust system. The IS C, on the other hand, had a 400 hp (298 kW / 405 PS) supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, an aerodynamic body kit and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Tell me that is a sick joke! Tell me it's just a model to make this heart-breaking video! I do not believe it! That which ordered to destroy these cars, should put into the crusher!

Sure seems like a waste. Surely they could have been used as track cars, or even just for parts.

This is common practise for cars that are used for marketing and development. Its too risky to sell the car as a whole or in parts. The reason behind this is that these cars could use items that are in the development process. Manufacturers would want to avoid legal problems, hence they crush the cars.

This happens because these are purpose-built show cars and have no VINs. They're tax write-offs for both parties (manufacturer and tuner), so they're supposed to be destroyed. This fate awaits showcars in general in America.
