Alfa Romeo 12C GTS Concept by Ugur Sahin previewed [video]

As their Anadi build design moves into limited production, Dutch specialty coachworks and design firm, Ugur Sahin Design, has sent WCF a rendered preview of their next project, the Alfa Romeo C12 GTS Concept.

In a statement, managing partner, Ugur Sahin, puts the C12 GTS into perspective with a comprehensive design analysis:

"The main goal of this design is to reinterpret Alfa Romeo's historical lines, surfaces and styling cues with fresh perspective and state of mind in order to create an appealing design and combining the familiar design language of Alfa Romeo combined with sharper lines and surfaces without losing the organic attractiveness of the car.

One of the main features of the design is the way its stance is shaped. As a whole it gives you the impression of "forward-movement" even while standing still. The iconic Alfa Romeo Grille hosts the center of the organic lines which flow towards the back and around the car with minimum distraction and maximum visual impact. The way the front is designed consists of two different shape compositions to make the face of the car sporty and aggressive, yet so appealing.

The side silhouette creates a balanced front-to-back ratio that grabs your attention with proper proportional balance and the perfectly straight line that divides the upper and the lower parts of the car seamlessly wraps around the back making the car look as a whole."

The Dutch company is currently seeking investors who may want to see the C12 GTS become reality exclusively for themselves or for a limited few.

Overall an astonishing concept - Would be pretty bold to to put this into production. Think thou it needs a little more refinement if it´s going to pose as a star on examplewise "concorso deleganza villa deste". There is something with the profile of the cockpit - from some angles it seems cramped like a Viper. Indeed modern but i dont´like the A pillars flow into the hood (not a bad reference) but i cant´help thinking Mercedes SLR on that part. Also the Deco style intakes next to the headlamps, beautifully done, but i find that it too flimsy compared to the extreme dynamic that the rest of the car has. The rear lamps seems a bit lonely on the triangular black plates.

Now that's nice original lines minus the Alfa grille the Chevy Corvette should emuate instead of the copycat Ferrari lines.
