Aston Martin Project AM310 concept debuts - previews new DBS [video]

Aston Martin has revealed the Project AM310 concept car at the 2012 Concours d'Elegance Villa d'Este in Lake Como, Italy. The vehicle is essentially a preview of the next-generation DBS.

Strong design influence from the One-77 supercar can be seen throughout the exterior and it is expected to trickle down to future models as well.

Until Aston releases some proper press photos, our view of the interior is limited in the video above, but the center console appears to be a new design.

As you can hear in the video above, the AM310 concept has the latest version of Aston's 6.0-liter V12 with a particulary sonorous exhaust note.

The next-generation is expected to be revealed in prodution trim at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event in California this August followed by a market launch in 2013.

Looks good in motion....biggest ctiticsm of the current car is the dated interior...this looks even more dated than current set up...serious work needs to be done in fhere..the dials steering wheel everything..tvrs interiors from 10 yr ago look fresher than this

Notice when they started the car, the left LED brake lights weren't all working. HOpe this is not going to be a common problem. Car looks overall very flowing but I'm trying to get used to the bubble butt look...maybe will slowy grow on me but the front is still very AM with a much more agressive look (I like)

Great car, no question. Only problem is AM's lack of originality! C'mon Aston Martin, are you ever going to truly redesign the car or just stick with what has worked in the past? Simply comes across as a lack of new ideas and creativity. Time for a new direction instead of stale designs...

Looks great with a very great sound. The interior resembles the One-77 which doesn't look that good. And yeah those rims ruins the great looks of this car! Looks like an after market wheels for a Mustang!

I like it. I know a lot of people would prefer the styling to have changed more than it has done. But for me, its changed "just enough" to be of interest still. The front is what we all know, but the back I think looks superb. I'm just praying they've really updated what's under the skin; made it much lighter, made that V12 engine more powerful, etc. I'm hoping they also really modernise the interior; for that money, it needs to rival the interior of an XJ.
