Has a 510 PS (375 kW / 503 hp) V8 engine

Brand new start-up from The Netherlands, Vencer has unveiled their new Sarthe supercar.

Looking slightly generic, the hand-built model features a carbon fiber body and 19- / 20-inch alloy wheels. It rides on a space frame chassis that is constructed out of steel and chrome-moly tubing.

Power comes from a mid-mounted V8 engine that produces 510 PS (375 kW / 503 hp) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential. This enables the 1390 kg (3065 lb) car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 326 km/h (202 mph).

Production will be "very limited," but there's no word on pricing.

Who is buying these cars? Expensive with no record of reliability or conformance. I really wonder.

Rimac managed to sell their electric ''no record of the car yet'' supercar for nearly a million. Marussia sold out all their B2's whereas I'm sure most carpeople don't know the brand. Noble also sold enough cars to maintain existing, even though those might be better trackcars and get their sales from that reputation. I think there would be enough dutch people who would get it *especially if it's as limited-run as they say* since it's something else than a Donkervoort or Burton and could be considered a serious sportscar. At least, as long as Spyker is not delivering their Ailerons. Everybody has to start somewhere, you don't know what this will end like.

Great looking car, good performance. Its always nice to see fresh blood emerge. I especially love the cars name. Sarthe, not sure if its the intended meaning but La Sarthe is my favorite track in the world so it gives this car a bit more spirit to me.
