Audi S3 spied completely undisguised

With our spies camped on the sidelines of the Nurburgring there is not a single prototype that can possibly evade us. The latest model to be caught is a completely undisguised pre-production version of the upcoming 2013 Audi S3.

Wearing a silver exterior finish, the three-door S3 appears to be undergoing some high speed testing. It sports two sets of twin-tailpipes poking out the rear end which unmistakeably identifies it as the higher performance variant of the A3. Aside from this, exterior styling looks largely unchanged from the standard A3 variant.

Power is expected to be drawn from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit that produces 280 PS (206 kW / 276 hp). It will be mated with the optional S tronic twin-clutch transmission and the quattro all-wheel drive system.

Expect to see the new Audi S3 in the flesh at the Paris Motor Show in September.
